Great light! My first cob LED. I wanted to reduce heat in a boutique grow room. I replaced 900 Watts or purple lights and took a chance on 600 Watts or Cree white light.. working out wonderfully. Plants absolutely love this light and the coverage is spot on if not underestimated. The quality of build and the components are very high grade. I am running some of the top notch LEDs from other companies....l am ready for another Redwood.

In the past I have built DIY cob setups. While I enjoy experimenting with LED lighting, I wanted to have a space that was not for experimentation. In that space, I wanted to use products that were built by professionals. The quality of the build is excellent. I like that Timber chose to use aluminum extrusions for the frame. I enjoy the overall design. It is minimalist , but spreads the light very evenly in the stated area (4x4) and feels sturdy. The passive pin heatsinks effectively spread the heat. On full blast the heat, even without a fan running above the pins, has not been an issue at all. You will gain efficiency and likely extend the life of the fixture if you decide to add airflow over the pins. The added potentiometer allows you to significantly dim the light. Right now I have somewhere between 20-30 starts going in preparation for summer. It's a mix of: black krim tomatoes, purple cherokee tomatoes, miniature chocolate bell peppers, and crimson sweet watermelon. I have the fixture dimmed down as low as it can go and have it around 14" over the tops of the tomatoes. I feel almost no heat coming from the cobs. At this point the tomatoes are almost 8" tall and I still have another month to go before planting outdoors. I started the starts under my DIY cob lighting that I had built, and then transferred over to the new fixture as soon as it arrived. Plants kept marching on without skipping a beat. If I have a need for an additional light in the future, I would not hesitate to purchase again. Solid company, fast shipping, and excellent lights.
I have been using cobs for the last couple of years since they came in vogue, have built most of my lights but did not have time this go so I purchased the 12 cob 600 watt light for a 4X4 tent. I went with these guys since they have a great reputation and I certainly agree it is well deserved. I received an email from Dan the day purchased thanking me and telling me when it would be done building and day it should ship and all came true to the day. Well packaged well built and well worth the small amount I could have saved building my self. All connections are professionally done and I really can not think of a thing to nit pick on. Since I already used cobs I knew the plants would love them which they do and coverage is perfect for a 4X4 area. While I am using strictly to bud the light does have ability to be dimmed substantially if tender plants needed to be put under it. Great job Dan and crew great light
